My photo is public domain but I would still like to credit the photographer.
Public Lab is an open community which collaboratively develops accessible, open source, Do-It-Yourself technologies for investigating local environmental health and justice issues.
I often add an italicized credit on the first or second line. Good question, and main images are a little odd to deal with in general, being outside the page content itself.
Also, if you grabbed the content from somewhere else, it's always good practice link back to the original image in the attribution. If it's Public Domain under a CC (or similar) license it's helpful to include.
