Makerbot
Thanks to a generous 2013 donation by Makerbot, the Public Lab community received ten (10!) Makerbots and distributed them amongst our most active chapters. We are planning to use the Makerbots primarily for printing open source tool designs, such as the smartphone spectrometer and our custom rig for kite aerial photography.
Here’s how you contact folks who are running the 10 printers, where they are, and their status.

Both extruders are the spring loaded roller type (no delrin plungers).
Left extruder inoperable due to cable break that I just have not fixed yet.
The 5 volt power upgrade has not been performed yet.
