Barnstars were introduced to express appreciation for the many unique contributions made by individuals throughout the Public Laboratory community. They are a kind of "warm fuzzy" and can be used to convey sentiments ranging from profound respect to humor. Any existing barnstars -- or new ones that you customize -- can be spontaneously awarded to anyone by anyone. You award a barnstar by listing their name on this page next to the appropriate barnstar, the date you awarded it, and adding +1 to the tally.

If you have received a barnstar, you can post a banner to your user page by pasting the following code in your "bio:"

Notice of new barnstars will be publicized weekly in the newsletter.

Feeding the Barnraisers

This barnstar honors those who worked smartly and tirelessly to feed the mass of hungry barnraisers during a Public Lab barnraising. This is also the first barnstar ever awarded, to Jen Hudon by Liz Barry on November 3, 2012. Total awarded = 1

Earthquake Bolt Barnstar

This barnstar honors those who initiated the use of Barnstars on the Public Lab Wiki. It has been awarded to Liz Barry by Mathew Lippincott on November 3, 2012, for shaking up Public Lab with Barnstars. Total awarded = 1

Excessive Enthusiasm

This barnstar honors those who display never-ending quantities of enthusiasm. It has been awarded to Don Blair by Liz on November 3, 2012, for demonstrating this face. Total awarded = 1

SysAdmin Barnstar

This barnstar honors those who keep the Public Lab servers going through natural disasters, enemy attacks, slashdotting, and people tripping over cables. It has been awarded to Dogi by Liz on November 3, 2012. Total awarded = 1

All barnstars are linked below, including original .AI and .PNG files of The Barnstar. When you create a custom barnstar, please attach it to this page, and link to its location on the public lab server when adding it to the table on this page.
