My thought was to have a few levels, so URLs work out to:

http://drndl.grassrootsmapping.org////.

resulting in:

http://drndl.grassrootsmapping.org/gulf-coast/2011-1-23-grand-isle-terre/geotiff/2011-1-23-grand-isle-terre.tif * redundant, but good to have everything in a named folder, and also good to have a descriptive filename

http://drndl.grassrootsmapping.org/gulf-coast/2011-1-23-grand-isle-terre/tms/openlayers.html
