I ran into this GitHub article on counterfeit DS18B20 sensors. Basically the "jellybean" temperature sensor that comes in waterproof probes. I usually get mine in small quantities from Adafruit but this raises some questions for making kits in bulk.

I have trusted Adafruit's supply chain although honestly I may not have noticed if any temperature chip that i may have received through them may have had an temperature offset outside the advertised ±0.5 °C band.
Has this issue affected any of your hardware?
