The Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science (Public Lab) is open for anyone to join and will always be free.

What does it mean to join Public Lab?

Being a community member may include one or more of the following:

  • registered on this website: sign-up here
  • participates in at least one mailing list to learn from, contribute to, and gain recognition within the community: find a list here
  • uses Public Lab tools outside or offline
  • Other! Read more ideas on the contribute page

As of September 2014, you can also become a sustaining member--someone who supports the Public Lab 501(c)3 not-for-profit mission of democratizing inexpensive and accessible Do-It-Yourself techniques to create a collaborative network of practitioners who actively re-imagine the human relationship with the environment.
