I am sorry I have not documented this fully yet but Jeff says I have to do work in progress in public and not wait until the end so here's the schematic of the thermal flashlight board I made and pngs for milling it if you are into that sort of thing ok more soon or probably not that soon but at some point I hope.

Thanks Nadya! exciting stuff--can it be made in a Fab Lab? We could give a shot in providence?

Is this a question? Click here to post it to the Questions page.

you certainly can! their modela is underused anyhow. any of the fab gurus can help mill the board.

awesome i just sent an email to the Plots providence group to see if anyone is interested in trying their hand at it. Would you be interested in advising if someone wants to give it a try? Could you describe a bit about how it would work?

well I wrote a tutorial about milling boards once, most of it is still up here: http://fab.cba.mit.edu/content/processes/PCB/modela2.html however I haven't actually fully tested this board yet, so maybe there will still be revisions.

thanks for working on this Nadya. I added a sketch on packaging and calibration that would be great to integrate with this design here: http://publiclaboratory.org/notes/mathew/6-13-2012/thermal-flashlight-power-ring
